The "Oops, I Didn't Mean To Book That" Refund Policy

We get it—sometimes, in the haze of midnight online shopping sprees, we end up booking things we didn't exactly mean to. That's where our "Oops, I Didn't Mean To Book That" Refund Policy comes in! Here's how it works:

Please ensure You are Booking the Correct Room Type to accommodate your number of guests. Hey, we're good but not that good.

Umhlanga Bookings cannot be held responsible for bookings made for incorrect dates and/or incorrect room types

Cancellation fees are also presented on the Guest Details page.

Reservations will attract a 2% Cancellation Fee of the full booking value 8 or More Days prior to Arrival. 100% Cancellation Fee of the full booking value 0 - 7 days prior to Arrival. These percentages are based on the total booking value and not on deposits paid.

For International Travelers and Large Value Bookings are suggested to take up travel Insurance to assist in unforeseen circumstances

Why Do We Charge a 2% Cancellation Fee?

You know how there's always that one friend who organizes all the group trips, books the hotels, and makes sure everyone's in the right place at the right time? Well, that's basically what our admin team does. They're the unsung heroes, the backstage magicians making sure everything runs smoother than a greased-up slip 'n slide.

Imagine if we didn't have them:

Your invoices would be delivered by carrier pigeons (and they're notoriously bad with directions).

Your booking details would be scribbled on sticky notes (which tend to disappear into the mysterious abyss known as "the back of the desk").

And customer service? Let's just say, without admins, your calls might be answered by our resident office plant, Phil.

So, to keep everything from descending into chaos and to prevent Phil from getting overwhelmed, we charge a small admin fee. It's like a tip for excellent service, ensuring your experience is as smooth as our coffee (which, thanks to our admins, is always top-notch).

In short, the admin fee helps us keep the gears turning and the lights on, so you can enjoy a hassle-free experience while we do all the heavy lifting. Plus, it helps keep Phil focused on what he does best: photosynthesis.
